Alright. It’s been a seriously long time since I blogged. That doesn’t mean that I haven’t been thinking about it. In fact, on my whiteboard I have a list of titles for posts that I’ve been meaning to write. This is the list: iphone killed the electronic dictionary It’s a pretty obvious time of the year to write about food. December is the one month of the year where I barely need to go to the supermarket. As long as I have some fruit or milk or muesli to have for breakfast, all of the other meals seem to take care of themselves. [...] Alright, so I’ve been a lazy little blogger recently. I’m not beating myself up too much about it. It’s not because I’ve been generally lazy, the opposite is true. I took too much on and something had to pay the price. Something that’s troubled me in recent years is knowing exactly what to do. Being a white middle-class educated reasonably intelligent male in a developed country leaves me with practically unlimited possibilities. In terms of career and leisure pursuits I can do virtually anything that I can conceive. Many lawyers charge insanely high fees to people who can’t really afford them, but need to because they have no other choice. It’s socially acceptable to bash lawyers with jokes that would be horribly racist or discriminatory if applied to an ethnic/religious/minority/other group, like the one [...] I don’t know if women have this problem, but for a guy there are few more annoying things than this: rushing into a public toilet, sphincter squeezed tight to avoid crapping pants, pushing open the cubicle door, hands on your belt ready to unbutton your fly, ready to shove down your jeans, turn, sit and [...] Like many my age, I grew up with Star Wars. I wasn’t old enough to see the first film at the cinema, but The Empire Strikes Back is one of my earliest cinema-going memories. Actually, my dad got hold of the book before we saw the film, and he used to read it to me [...] Last week I received some suggestions regarding avenues I could explore to meet that significant someone.
