The full name’s Mark Andrew Riboldi. I’ve worked a lot of jobs, been to many countries, and consumed a lot of culture – both popular and otherwise. I spent a double period of Maths in Year 10 working on my signature, and it’s barely changed since then. I should have spent as much time considering how I wanted to sign my name to things. It varies between Mark Riboldi, M.A Riboldi, and Mark A. Riboldi. It’s too late conclusively decide on one of them now – on this issue, and many others, my brain is firmly fixed on indecision.
This is my website. I imagine it will evolve over time.
Wanting to write and having ideas what to write about have never been an issue for me. Neither has a love of moving words, sentences and paragraphs around until they feel just right. What I’ve struggled with is getting all those elements together to a point where I’d be happy with someone else seeing them. Sometimes it’s a confidence thing, more often it’s that the next idea has come along and I’m more interested in exploring that.
Blogging has been perfect. The best thing is the feeling my words and ideas are regularly connecting with other people. So I feel an obligation to keep writing, and to finish pieces and to get them online. I started blogging on a different site in April 2008 and spent a year experimenting with. I got a decent idea of what I should/could be writing, and also what I wanted my site to look like and be able to do.
